Restaurant la Parada del Mar
About This Spot
Stepping into Restaurant la Parada del Mar feels like entering a lively crossroads of the sea right in the heart of Palma’s Ponent district. The air hums with the bustling energy of a busy seafood market blended seamlessly with the warm buzz of a popular local gathering spot. It’s a place where time slows just enough to savor the textures and tastes of fresh ocean offerings, yet moves with the inviting rhythm of voices and clinking glasses around you.
This restaurant embraces a spirited, hands-on approach to dining—inviting guests to select their own seafood from an inviting display that feels both fresh and immediate, like a daily seaside catch brought directly to your plate. The dynamic between diners and the cooks is part of the charm; it’s not about a rigid menu but about crafting each meal in the moment, tailored by your choice and perfected by skillful grilling and cooking methods that respect the natural flavors of the ingredients.
The pace of the room reflects genuine enthusiasm rather than formality. Inside, the atmosphere is comfortably lively with cooling air conditioning providing a calm refuge from the busy street just outside. This contrast makes the experience intimate yet connected to the vibrant urban pulse. It’s a place where you might find yourself leisurely watching the chefs work while sharing a relaxed conversation over a glass of wine or a refreshing local vino turbio.
More than just a meal, dining here is a shared exploration—the texture of tender fish, the gentle char of grilled prawns, and the bright pop of padron peppers all invite moments of quiet appreciation and spontaneous smiles. A thoughtfully prepared aioli or a slice of signature torta della casa highlights the thoughtful care behind each detail, making even the simplest bites feel like small celebrations.
In this space, freshness meets tradition, and each dish unfolds softly into the next, encouraging you to savor the essence of the sea with each forkful. The atmosphere and attentive service make it particularly suited for those looking to enjoy seafood in a setting that balances authenticity with warmth—where the meal is as much about connection and discovery as it is about flavor.

Delicious and fresh seafood restaurant. We loved the concept: you choose your seafood from the fresh selection, and it’s then cooked or grilled to perfection, never overcooked. We ordered red fish, which was grilled perfectly, and the red prawns were outstanding. The way they prepare and grill the food makes the whole experience truly exceptional.

Very very good fish and sea food restaurant. Everything here is extra fresh and very well cooked. The place is a little noisy. It's better to be inside to have the AC and the calm rather than the outside that is directly on a very passing street. I will definitely come again ?

You choose the items yourself. There is a per-kilo price, and you decide the quantity, which is then weighed. Alternatively, you can go for the €36.75 degustation menu, which includes 9 seafood plates, dessert, and a drink. The food is decent, but the taste is quite average, so don’t expect too much. That said, the place offers a good price-to-performance ratio.

Amazing concept! Right in front of the restaurant, whey you enter, after the admission of your reservation you have the fish/seafood available for you to choose. Everything was very fresh and well-cooked. Service was fast and efficient. I recommend the degustation menu of it’s your first time and want to try a little bit of everything! Don’t forget to make a reservation! Without it, it will be difficult, almost inpossible to get a table.

If you love seafood, this is the place to go. No menu, just pick your fish at the counter and choose how you want it cooking. Sides are a lovely salad or chips. Need to book early as always very busy. We paid 67 euros for a lovely meal and drinks.

Delicious fish shop style restaurant. At the entrance there's a bar with the fishes displayed on it , you can choose fishes, shrimps, oysters, clams, razors, etc etc and whatever you want from there. Degustation menu is also a great option with up to 6 different options, all of them very fresh and properly cooked. Service is so friendly and helpful.

The food here is very delicious and fresh, you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. We spent €120 for two people because we ordered wine. The only downside is the waiting time , even with a reservation, you still have to queue at the entrance
